What is CSA?

CSA stands for Community-Supported Agriculture. It is a mutually beneficial relationship between farmers and consumers. As a CSA member, you become a part of our farm by purchasing a share of the season’s harvest in advance. In return, you receive a weekly or bi-weekly box of seasonal fruits, vegetables, and other farm products straight from our fields.

Why Join Bellemont Farm CSA?

  1. Fresh, Organic Produce: Our farm follows organic and sustainable farming practices, ensuring that you receive the highest quality, chemical-free produce for you and your family. (We are not certified organic but follow organic principles).
  2. Support Local Agriculture: By becoming a member, you actively support local farmers and contribute to the growth and sustainability of our community’s agricultural landscape.
  3. Variety and Seasonal Delights: Experience the joy of eating with the seasons. Each CSA box is filled with a diverse selection of freshly harvested produce, including familiar favorites and unique varieties that may inspire you to try new recipes.
  4. Farm-to-Table Connection: Get to know the farmers behind your food. Through farm visits, newsletters, and events, you will have the opportunity to connect with our farmers, learn about our growing methods, and gain a deeper understanding of where your food comes from.

How it Works

  1. Choose Your Share Size: We offer different share sizes to suit your needs. Whether you’re an individual, a couple, or a family, we have options available for everyone.
  2. Sign Up and Pay: Fill out our online membership form and make a secure payment to reserve your spot. We have a limited number of shares available each season, so don’t wait too long!
  3. Enjoy Weekly Boxes of Produce: Once the season begins, you can pick up your CSA box from our farm, located conveniently right in Lambertville. Delivery may be available to some locations by special arrangement. This season we will also deliver to a pick-up location in South Orange, NJ.
  4. Explore Recipes and Cooking Tips: Unsure what to do with a particular vegetable? We’ve got you covered! Our website will soon feature a recipe section with ideas and inspiration to help you make the most of your CSA bounty.

What is a share?

A share can come in various sizes. We offer 1/4 share, 1/2 share and full share. A 1/4 share is for 1-2 people, a 1/2 share is for 3-4 people and a full share is for 5+ people. A share is not a specific amount of produce but will vary depending on the time of the season and what is currently growing and being harvested. While the specific types of produce can vary depending the growing season, a share typically includes a diverse range of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and sometimes other products such as eggs or dairy (by partnership with other farms). With a share, you can expect to receive a weekly supply of fresh, locally grown produce. The quantity and variety of items in each share may vary depending on what is currently in season.
